Custom Cakes for Weddings, Birthdays & Big Events
If you’re planning a wedding, milestone birthday, or anything that deserves its special cake, Brown County has several talented bakers who specialize in custom orders. Some offer tiered cakes, some specialize in meeting dietary needs, and a few are available only by pre-order or for specific events, so plan ahead if you’ve got your heart set on something specific.
Here are the bakers I’ve personally used or regularly see recommended:
Offbeet Bakery
This is hands-down the best all-around bakery in town. It’s the only full-service brick-and-mortar option in Nashville, and I’ve used them for more events than I can count.
Gorgeous cakes, incredible flavors, plus amazing gluten-free and vegan options. If you plan to contact only one bakery, start here.

Other Local Bakeries for Cakes
These are names I haven’t personally used (because honestly, how many custom cakes does one person need?), but they come up often in local community Facebook groups and event planning threads when people are asking for recommendations:
Decorated Cookies, Cupcakes & Fun Bakes for Parties
If you’re planning a kids’ party, welcome gift basket, retreat snack table, or just want something playful and custom, these local bakers specialize in treats that look as good as they taste. Many of them create hand-decorated cookies, themed cupcakes, or custom boxes you can pre-order for your event.
Here are the ones I’ve either worked with directly or see regularly recommended in local groups:
Offbeet Bakery
In addition to custom cakes, Offbeet also makes beautifully decorated sugar cookies (including gluten-free options) and cupcakes. Their designs are always fun but polished, and they’re a solid go-to for most event needs.

Other Local Bakeries for Cookies & Cupcakes
These are others I haven’t personally used, but they’ve been recommended often enough that they’re worth looking into:
- Cupcake Cart – Custom cakes and cupcakes; great local reputation.
- Cupcake Couture – Also offers both cakes and cupcakes.
- Sugar Bayer’s Cookies – Beautifully decorated and well-reviewed locally.

Local Bakeries with Other Fresh-Baked Treats
Not every event calls for a custom cake. Sometimes you just want a pie for the cabin, cookies for a group hike, or something sweet to leave out for guests. These local spots offer fresh-baked goods that are easy to grab (and still make you look like you planned ahead).
Offbeet Bakery
Still the best all-around option. It’s a full bakery with a rotating case of cookies, bread, scones, seasonal treats, and more. I stop here often, and I’ve never been disappointed.

Some of these bakers offer porch pickup or stand-alone farmstands stocked with goodies, while others require direct contact and advance orders.
