Other Hotels in Brown County, Indiana

While the following hotels didn’t make my Top 10 list, they still offer some unique features that may appeal to certain travelers. Here’s a quick rundown:

  • Harmony Tree Resorts – If you’re a light sleeper, you might find the restaurant below and the noise between rooms a bit bothersome. However, this location shines for glamping experiences, which I highly recommend if you’re looking for something different.
  • Hotel Nashville – This older hotel isn’t as walkable as others on my list, but it’s still a decent option, especially if you’re planning to dine at the Nashville Chop House, which I really enjoy.
  • The Yellowwood – Despite a recent name change and remodel, reviews are still mixed. If you’re looking for suites, this could be worth considering, but it’s not at the top of my list unfortunately.
  • Green Valley Motor Lodge – I don’t see a lot of cars here when I drive by, which makes me wonder about its popularity, but if you’re looking for a no-frills, budget option, it could be a good option.
  • Hickory Shades Motel – Located out in Belmont, this isn’t the most convenient spot if you want to explore all that Brown County has to offer. However, if you’re on a budget, it’s an affordable option, though it’s close to the busy SR 46, which can be noisy.
  • Salt Creek Inn – While the location is convenient to town, and especially good if you’re heading to the Brown County Music Center, the lack of cars in the lot and consistently poor reviews are concerning. If you’re on a tight budget, this might be a last resort option, but I’d recommend exploring other choices first.

One of the best perks of booking a hotel in downtown Nashville, Indiana is the ability to park your car and walk everywhere. If you stay at any of the hotels listed below, you’ll be able to easily explore all that downtown Nashville has to offer on foot:

NOTE #1: While the Quality Inn Nashville and Salt Creek Inn are accessible via the Salt Creek Trail, they are more than a quarter-mile walk from downtown. Currently, there isn’t a sidewalk along SR 46, which makes walking from these hotels less convenient.

NOTE #2: The Season’s Lodge & Conference Center is close to downtown, but walking there requires navigating busy roads like Old 46 or SR 46, none of which have dedicated sidewalks or pedestrian crossings. If walkability is a priority, this may not be your best choice.
