As a local who’s lived in Nashville, Indiana since 2016 and tracks every single event in Brown County year-round, I can tell you: live music isn’t just something to do here—it’s part of the town’s identity.
Nashville didn’t get the nickname “Little Nashville” by accident. Still, with so many venues and rotating schedules, it can be hard to know what’s actually happening on any given night.
I’ve created this guide to help you quickly understand your options for live music and entertainment venues in Brown County and Nashville, Indiana—whether you’re planning ahead or just looking for something spontaneous. You’ll also find out where to check for up-to-date show schedules, so you never miss a good set.

Top Live Music & Entertainment Venues
If you’re looking for big-name acts, high-production shows, or special event weekends, these are the core venues to check first.
While none of them host live music every night, each one plays a major role in the Brown County entertainment scene and is worth checking out when you’re planning your trip.
Brown County Music Center
This 2,000-seat indoor venue brings national touring acts to Brown County year-round—everyone from classic rock legends and country stars to comedians and tribute bands.
The acoustics are top-notch, parking is easy, and there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. Shows are most common Thursday through Sunday, but there are often events on other nights as well. If you’re considering a visit, be sure to check the schedule in advance.

Brown County Playhouse
Located right on Van Buren Street in downtown Nashville, the Brown County Playhouse blends historic charm with a rotating lineup of concerts, plays, movies, and comedy shows.
It’s an easy stop if you’re walking through the Village, and with around 400 seats, it offers a more intimate setting than the Music Center. Their live music schedule changes monthly, so be sure to check ahead.

Bars, Patios & Restaurants with Weekly Live Music
If you’re looking for something more casual or spontaneous than the shows at the Music Center or Playhouse, then you’re in luck! There are several restaurants and bars in Brown County that have consistent opportunities to enjoy live music throughout the week.
Some of these venues are year-round, and others are seasonal, but all of these spots are perfect for pairing a laid-back outing with good food, drinks, and local talent.
Year-Round Live Music
Brown County Inn (Corn Crib Lounge)
The Brown County Inn is easily one of the most dependable (and prolific) live music venues in town! Music programming runs four nights a week year-round, with a solid mix of local talent, traveling artists, and community-driven events.
- Wednesdays: Open Mic Night from 6–9 PM—an inviting, come-as-you-are event that attracts a mix of locals and visitors.
- Thursdays: The Hill Folk Music Series runs from 7–9 PM and features rotating acts rooted in Americana, Folk, and Blues.
- Fridays & Saturdays: Live music every weekend from 8–11 PM.
All of the Brown County Inn’s music is in their bar, The Corn Crib Lounge, which is 21+. But thanks to the open design of the spaces, you can still hear the music clearly from the main dining room—even if you’re there with kids.
Country Heritage Winery – Nashville Tasting Room
The Country Heritage Winery Tasting Room in downtown Nashville hosts indoor live music year-round on Friday and Saturday nights from 6–9 PM. It’s laid-back, no cover charge, and features acoustic sets that pair well with a glass of wine.
While all ages are technically welcome here, the vibe leans more adult and relaxed than family-focused.
Porthole Inn Bar & Grill
You’ll find live music at the Porthole Inn Bar & Grill most Friday and Saturday nights from 7–10 PM, along with the occasional Thursday night band or bingo event.
The atmosphere is laid-back with indoor and outdoor seating, plus both family-friendly and dedicated 21+ bar sides.

Located at Salt Creek Golf Retreat, the 19th Hole Sports Bar has live music Friday nights at 7 PM and Saturday nights at 8 PM. It’s casual and welcoming, with pub food and plenty of room for groups. They also host Euchre nights on Tuesdays.

The vibe here shifts from relaxed daytime patio sets to a more adult, tavern-style scene in the evenings, and the Still Tavern is 21+.
Rafters Food & Spirits
Rafters regularly hosts Saturday evening sets from 5:30–7:30 PM. It’s a quieter, more intimate space with a mix of acoustic performances and local acts. You can check their Facebook page for weekly updates.
Mike’s Music & Dance Barn

Mike’s Dance Barn is good for all ages and, I can say from experience, that nothing brings out the laughs quite like learning to line dance with your friends or kids.
Daily Grind Coffee House & Café
Live music at the Daily Grind happens on a smaller scale, typically Saturdays and Sundays from 12–2 PM. It’s family-friendly and works well for daytime visits, especially if you’re already exploring the Village and want something low-key.
